Sweaty hands using Wacom

Jan 11, 2008

I can't live without my Wacom pen but I don't like the thing for giving me sweaty hands. My fingers are losing grip on the pen within an hour of using the Wacom. Is there a way to avoid this? Does anyone else have this experience?

A paper towel?

I have never noticed this, but two people doesn't produce the same amount of sweat.

What pen are you using? My pen have a nice rubber grip, that I think is quite easy to get hold of, even with somewhat sweaty hands.
Maybe you could put some other material on the grip?

Re: Sweaty hands using Wacom

Haven't used a Wacom in over a year, but thoughts:

Dust hand with talc powder (should absorb sweat, but not sure if that itself would make pen slippery).

Find adh. foam, very thin, and attach to pen (one strip on a side, or wrap it near tip as a 'cushion grip'). [Alternatively, one side of a adh. velcro strip might? be suitable]

[shrug] Just a thought.

Re: Sweaty hands using Wacom

If you have a graphire and it's the plastic stylus that's making your hand sweat, you can buy nicer pens that will work with the graphire, but they will have some extra features that don't work with the low end tablets, if that doesn't bother you.

Also, maybe if you could loosen up a bit with your grip, that might help, too, once you get used to a more relaxed hold.
